We are here to recruit YOU for the First Annual Harvey Milk Day on May 22nd!
To celebrate the life and legacy of Harvey Milk, the slain civil rights leader and first openly gay politician in American history, there will be a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the day, including:
- Technical support for documentary film crew
- Mural signing supervision
- Managing sign-ups & button distribution
- Literature distribution
- Voter Registration
Volunteers are needed to help during one or both of the following shifts:
- 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
- 1:30 am - 4:00 pm
*We will meet at the corner of 18th and Castro at 11am and will have a booth set up on the corner all day. If you can't make it for a whole shift, no problem! If you are unable to assist during Milk Day on May 22nd, we also need assistance placing posters in storefronts and spreading the word about the events to others.
